Stainless Steel Dissection Tables - 2018Fumetec working alongside our partners Iab Lab Ltd have completed a new project at a hospital in the North West. The project involved a number of dissection tables all linked into a single PVC Extract System. The dissection tables were manufactured under a high specification for Chemical resistance purposes and included;
• Constructed from 316 grade stainless steel 240 grit finish to all visible surfaces
• Macerator fitted to the sink
• Sectional removeable perforated work trays to each side of the sink
• Hot and cold water mixer taps
• Trigger operated hand shower
• Exhaust plenum chamber fitted with a drain outlet
• Extract duct connection at the rear
• Removable front vanity panels
The project was designed, approved, manufactured and installed within the scheduled timescales ensuring that customer satisfaction was achieved.

4.5mtr wide - Walkin Enclosure Unit 2017Fumetec Ltd recently installed a new enclosure unit at a chemical plant in North Wales. Our project team was challenged to design and build a 4.5mtr x 1.8mtr x 2.6mtr high walk-in type enclosure unit with 2 No Bi-folding doors. The unit also provided 3 No evolution Atex rated extract arms. This involved the team working closely with the client to determine a high-end product that would facilitate the client’s processes and meet all requirements. Our project team headed by Phil Scholes (Project Manager) set about doing the design work and ensured all drawings produced were discussed and reviewed at project meetings before being placed into manufacture.
Once manufactured, the unit was assembled on the shopfloor for the end users to carryout a periodic inspection and add comments. Any minor issues were addressed inhouse before installation work was carried out on site.
The installation team involved 4 No highly experienced engineers and all work was installed to a high standard whilst ensuring all safety precautions were carried out and maintained throughout. Our engineers completed the new install within a 2-week schedule to the client’s satisfaction.
New Product - Battery Charging Station 2017Fumetec Ltd was recently approached by a blue chip company in partnership with Encon to undertake a new project undertaking the design, manufacture, installation & commissioning of 2 No new battery stations. The project involved a full design review before drawings were produced and approved. Following the design stage, the units were put into manufacture and assembled within our factory taking approximately 4 weeks.
The installation was carried out by our specialised fitters operating at 2 different plants within the UK working to high health and safety standards and ensuring quality standards were maintained at all times throughout the installation.

New Laboratory Fit-Out - 2017Fumetec Ltd carried out a new project locally which included a full turnkey package. The full contract included the following;
• 1 No Fume Cupboard
• 1 No Fume Hood
• UPVC Extract System
• M&E Connections
The fume extract system was manufactured from UPVC and consisted of a main header serving both the 1500mm wide fume cupboard and 800mm wide galvanised hood. The initial ductwork was installed in 200mm Diameter before transforming into 315mm Diameter and terminating through the fabric of the building. Operatives ensured the pipework was weathered both internally and externally.
The ductwork would continue to be installed according to working drawings and routed into a CMV 225/250 Fan unit before exhausting to atmosphere.
The Project was completed on time in accordance with the schedule of works.
New Polypropylene Fume Cupboard - 2017Fumetec have recently installed an 1800mm wide Polypropylene Fume Cupboard. The Fume Cupboard was primarily made from 6mm Beige Polypropylene hand crafted by one of our skilled plastic fabricators. The unit came complete with a perspex sash and polypropylene fully bunded worktop ensuring chemical resistance to a high standard. To meet containment requirements, the chamber has been fully welded and meets all compliant standards including BS EN 14175.
New Ductwork systems installed in Plymouth - 2017Fumetec have recently completed the installation of extract systems in Plymouth. The project involved design, manufacture and installation of Fume Extract Systems serving 8 No Fume Cupboards. The external ductwork was supported on a bigfoot isolation and unistrut support system. Installation complied with quality standards BS EN 14175-2:2003 and the construction code of the HVAC specification DW154. Picture shown is of the stack arrangement
Fume Cupboards and Associated Extract systems - Swansea - 2017Fumetec have recently undergone a project in Swansea consisting of 9 Fume Cupboards, 7 No extract hoods, 6 No alsident arms and a quantity of local extract points linked into 15 No extract systems. The project was required to be installed within a 3-month timescale and delivered within budget and on time.
Stainless Steel Downdraft Bench - Nottingham (C4935) - Feb 2017Recent installation carried out in Nottingham of ventilated dissection downdraft bench in stainless steel. The unit consisted of stainless steel sink unit fitted with a macerator, mixer tap and operated hand shower. Fumetec provided an uPVC Extract system via a plenum box located at the rear of the downdraft bench and installed ductwork leading to a direct driven fan unit on the roof before exhausting to atmosphere.
Fan Replacement - Oxfordshire (C5014) - Feb 2017Fumetec was recently approached to remove a fan unit that had broken down at a prestige company in Oxfordshire. Our scope of work involved; 1) Remove existing extract fan unit from the existing unistrut rails. 2) Cut back the existing 315mm ductwork. 3) Supply and fit new 'big foot' system to support new fan unit. 4) Modify the existing 315 Dia pvc duct to suit fan inlet position. 5) Re-fit existing stack on the outlet side of the fan unit. This work was completed within one day including travelling from our Manchester base.
